Current Solar Industry

Who wants another solar salesman to knock on their door?
The fastest way to get rid of the solar slingers, is to have solar on your roof! Solicitors will keep soliciting until there’s nothing to solicit.
There are many problems with the current solar industry. It's not that solar is bad, it's that most solar companies have a really bad reputation, and unfortunately it’s usually deserved. Even some of the ones that have good reputations, merely have good PR agencies.
We want to build a community around this project to keep us accountable, and to ensure customers receive the best possible outcome, and in turn fostering the community supports a collective vision of a sustainable energy future that fuels a regenerative food system.

There is a “triad” in the solar industry, and most of the time it doesn’t work in favor of the customer. Unfortunately many times the customer thinks they’re dealing with one company, but they’re usually dealing with 3, or sometimes even more. This creates potential problems down the road if the company that sold your system goes out of business and never puts you in contact with your installer.
Or, if the installer who is supposed to maintain the warranty goes out of business, even if you can contact the salesman who got you to sign on the line there isn’t anything he can do to help. If both of those companies become uncontactable the bank who processed your loan isn’t going to care that your system doesn’t work, they’ll still expect payments.
It is very rare in the industry that a company does two of these components, and most of them are sales+install. It is almost unheard of that a company does all three in house. Many times even, to add insult to injury, a group will start a sales organization to sell a bunch of deals, cut ties and close down shop, open a new entity to clear out the bad reputation, and keep on with poor business practices. Sometimes they even blame the installers who then get a bad reputation when it's often not even their fault. This doesn’t even get into the fact that most of the sales organizations are multi-level-marketing companies, so by the time a panel is installed on your roof there are three companies you’re working with, with a bunch of middle men who are all getting a cut of the pie. It’s ludicrous!
